STARBASE Minnesota, located on the 133rd Airlift Wing in St. Paul, MN has helped inspire and educate over 52,000 students in science, technology, engineering, and math since 1993. The Brigadier General Tim Cossalter STARBASE Minnesota Scholarship was created to help assist former STARBASE students on their educational path toward a STEM related degree.

To apply, the recipient must have successfully participated in the STARBASE Minnesota program while in elementary school, must have graduated from high school, and be enrolled at an accredited college or university. All applications must be received by August 16th, 2016 and the scholarship will be awarded by September 30th, 2016.

The scholarship is a one-time award and will be presented directly to the winner.

The selection criteria will be as follows:

  • Completed STARBASE Minnesota Scholarship application
  • Proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university
  • Written essay including:
    • Impact that STARBASE had on achieving your academic goals
    • Importance of STEM to you, your future, and the future of the United States
    • Your academic and future career goals
    • Any additional aspirations
    • What the scholarship will mean for you
