STARBASE Minnesota strives to be the most effective, relevant and memorable experience available to youth. Each year at STARBASE Minnesota we welcome 3,100-3,300 youth in grades 4-6. Our goal is to inspire youth, challenge their thinking and build their skills in science, technology, engineering and math in a fun, hands-on learning environment.
We hope that your child’s or grandchild’s summer experience at STARBASE was memorable. We ask for your kind support this holiday season in order to expand and enhance our new facility in ways that will capture the imagination and strengthen the learning experiences of thousands of youth who will begin walking through our new doorway in September 2011.
STARBASE served over 2,650 urban youth in the 2009-2010 school year – 81% were low income and 37% ELL (English Language Learners). An additional 553 youth from across the Twin Cities participated in the summer.
Give the gift of a Star in your child’s or family’s name. Your generous contribution will be used for interactive displays, equipment, technology and other student supplies — and if $100 or over, will be represented by a star with your child’s or family’s name on it that your child can come back to hang in our new learning space. Please consider a contribution to STARBASE Minnesota in the amount of: $100 Nebula $250 Protostar $500 Red Giant $1000 Supernova Other
