STARBASE Duluth Summer Program: STARBASE Explorers
Our STARBASE Explorers summer camp program incorporates elements of the school year program along with new and exciting STEM content, to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Students will get hands-on with rocket engineering, CAD design, GPS navigation, rover programming, earth science investigation and exploration.
As students dive into exploring the amazing world of STEM, they will also take away important skills we embed into every activity including perseverance, teamwork, respect, and creativity. Students also gain real-world knowledge about exciting careers in the STEM fields in our region and beyond.
The program is intended for children entering grades 4 through 6 in the Fall of 2023. Limit one session, per child, per summer. Children may participate twice over the course of two different summers.
Sessions run for four days, five hours a day. Sessions run from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM daily. There is a tax-deductible contribution option per student attending. You can elect to give to the program to support equipment/supply needs and to support attendance at camp for underserved and underrepresented students in our community. STARBASE is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the knowledge, skills, and interest of youth in science, technology, engineering and math, and relies on your support to be able to offer this unique and high quality program to you. The true cost of the program exceeds $200/child. Please note: The curriculum planned for summer 2023 will be identical to the summer camp of 2022. Please consider this when registering your child(ren).
