What Did You Find?

Real Life

Did you know there are over 2,500 satellites in orbit around the Earth? These satellites are what help Google Earth to have the pictures it needs to create the program you just used. As well as satellites, there are also over 10,000 man made objects orbiting around the Earth that are sometimes called "Space Junk". These include a variety of pieces ranging from panels to equipment that isn't used anymore.

Think About It! How do you think this affects the satellites Google Earth needs?
