Did you ever wonder why you had to learn math in school? STARBASE kids do too.

The cool thing is, now you know the answer! Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are what the real world is made of. You know. Because you build it every day.

Ever dream of being a rock star but know more about carbon fiber than guitar chords? At STARBASE – Scientists are stars! Our students are energized by seeing real world careers and meeting the people who live them.

We teach the science of rockets. But you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to volunteer.

From loading model rockets onto a launcher to participating in a Q&A session, STARBASE makes volunteering easy. We’ve thought through every volunteer scenario and developed resources to help you make the most of your valuable time.

Not sure what to say to a group? Our presentation outlines will guide you through. Don’t think your field is relevant to kids? Our volunteer coordinator will help you connect the dots. And at every volunteer event there are STARBASE instructors at your side to make the experience as smooth and impactful as possible.

Students' ability to learn outside of the traditional classroom setting and curriculum is incredibly valuable. The equipment at STARBASE (Ozobots, rockets, AR/VR, 3D printers) aren't found in every school, so this enables students from all backgrounds to gain exposure to unique (and fun!) STEM equipment.
